The Wonderful World Of April. Part 1

Someone planted a seed. Part 1

Once upon a time someone planted a seed and from that grew something rather wonderful. That wonderful thing is an insight into the ‘Wonderful World of April’
Hello. I am April. I’m nothing fancy, no frills, just a simple kinda life kinda gal!

If I had to tell you a bit about myself I’d tell you that I was adopted by an elderly tomcat about two years ago. I named him Peanut after all the peanuts I kept finding in my garden. I later realised (like 2 years later) that Rumbo the squirrel was the nut gifter not Peanut the cat. Peanut (PeaPea as I affectionately call him) is currently spread-eagle on my lap purring away sounding like a gieger counter.

What else… I am mother to one daughter and some grandchildren which is fabulous for bringing out my inner nursery nurse still alive inside me (once a nursery nurse always a nursery nurse)

Hang on a sec…I just need to feed PeaPea.
Right I’m back, where was I? Oh yes, I was going to mention mindfulness.

Mindfulness – such a lovely thing we can practice at any level anywhere at anytime about anything. My musings about lentils is well known in the Women’s circle, but you know what? Spend a minute to ponder on how that ‘thing’ came into your life, the tee shirt you wear- how it started its life- if it’s cotton it began as a seed… and ended up on your body after a whole big journey- I mean come on… a seed!! When you see clothes dropped on the floor in shops just think that someone somewhere on our planet made that, under who knows what circumstances. Please pick it up, we all know it’ll get a bit of dirt on it and probably end up in landfill(roughly 300,000 tonnes of clothes a year in the U.K)its a little thing to do but we all know we need to make some changes don’t we.

Anyway, that’s a little insight into April World, I’ll be sharing more of my musings so come along if you’re wanting a few minutes time out, grab yourself a cuppa and just stop. Breathe. Be kind to yourself.

April x
